Exploration 6 recap

Again I had and idea that I was sure would work out, but surely it didn't I wanted to do a stop motion animation of paint on a girls body telling a story about her. unfortunately the shots became to shaky and I had t start over. I decided to then change my whole idea to a dream sequence based on a project that I had done before. The project overall had a very dark tone to it and it consisted of a variety of shots. I decided to use no music at all. so it was just a series of sounds and screams. I also decided to film my finished video as it played on a screen so that it would naturally distort it and not many effect were used. This was probably the project that I had most fun with because I got to do a lot of weird and experimental things.

again, I thought this was a great project and turned out better than the Halo one would would have looked. I enjoyed the very colorful overlays and I think it helped me set a style that I am fairly confident with. I did make a few mistakes. My biggest one being that the text was in an awkward place.

Exploration 5 During

So I was just about to do my project when all the sudden we were told that we couldn't use figures or toys that we didn't have the rights to. I decided to go a more experimental way ad create and abstract animation for the movie across the universe. I decided to use a lot of blend modes and layer overlays to create the cliche psychedelic look, but with a bit of a twist.

Exploration 5 before

Before exploration 5 I had to do a lot of thinking about what show, movie or video game I wanted to do. I ultimately remembered that I had Halo toys back home, so I decided to do it on that. I would be a more clean and simple animation as oppose to my previous work and it would be ore of a trailer than a story. 

Exploration 4: After

After turning in my project I remember that I there was a few bugs that I needed to fix. My teacher also made really good suggestions, like blurring the background so that it looked like the focus was changing more. Overall I think the project was a success.

Exploration 4: During

My whole project was going fairly well except fot the keying out. some of my items were getting cut too much, and some were being destroyed completely. I ended up having to use a different background and eventually it worked out.

Exploration 4: Before

Before I started this project I had to do a variety of things. I had to first come up with an idea and concept. second, I had to create a variety of designs on illustrator. I then had to go and get those designs cut out by the laser cutter. This was more difficult because it required more planning and thought.
